Dedicated to promoting and enhancing the cultural, social and educational environment of Edgewood life for all residents, the Edgewood Foundation is a not-for-profit public foundation. The Edgewood Foundation’s activities foster enhanced community interaction for Edgewood residents.
The Foundation encourages ideas and participation from all groups and individuals in the borough to help meet its objectives. To learn more about the Foundation and the many yearly events we sponsor, please click on any of the links to the left.
The Foundation’s volunteer Board of Directors consists of nine residents: the Mayor or designee, a representative of the Borough Council, and seven members-at-large who serve renewable two year terms. The Board meets monthly in the C.C. Mellor Library at 7:30 PM, generally on the first Tuesday of the month.
Vacancies on the Board are filled by appointment by the Foundation and upon application by interested residents. All residents are encouraged to apply when a vacancy occurs. Notices are included in the Edgewood Newsletter.
Recently, the Foundation Board voted to change the by-laws of our foundation from a seven-person board to a nine-person board. This expansion will help ease the workload of our dedicated and involved volunteer group. If you are interested in becoming a part of the exciting happenings in Edgewood and would like to volunteer with the Edgewood Foundation, please contact us for more information.
