A Note from the President
Dear Neighbors,
As I think back to the year I became an Edgewood resident, nearly 10 years ago, I remember an Edgewood full of volunteers and activities for the young and old. Moving ahead to the Edgewood of today, I still see the same wonderful community. This continuation of volunteering by neighbors proves that Edgewood is an ever growing and caring neighborhood - a rare find in this day and age! It is vital that all of us give our time to this great neighborhood, so that these wonderful activities and events we all enjoy never fade away. We need you in order to continue the greatness our community is known for all across Pittsburgh. Are you good at planning, organizing, planting, cleaning up our streets or maybe just making phone calls? Whatever your skill, we can find a place for you. The Edgewood Foundation’s many activities planned for the following year include The Progressive Dinner, Senior Brunch, Wine and Chocolate Night, Light-up Night, Clean-up Days and many more! I urge you to join the Foundation’s efforts and volunteer for one of our upcoming events. We would love to hear your ideas for our continuing efforts to build our community’s sense of pride and togetherness.
I love what we have here in Edgewood. I see great things happening in the future-especially if you are involved. Take a look at the events on our website, email us with your ideas, and volunteer your skills to continuing our mission to this community. If we all put in a little time, great things can occur. I am proud to call Edgewood my home and I am honored to have so many great neighbors.
Sincerely,
Amy
