Bringing Edgewood Residents Together
The Foundation regularly sponsors a variety of local events and programs, including:
January - Annual Retreat
The Board kicks off each year with our Annual Retreat, when we decide what events and programs will be sponsoring. We would love to hear your ideas! Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your suggestions!
February - The Progressive Dinner
The Foundation organizes a Progressive Dinner, in which neighbors go from home to home to enjoy an appetizer, then a meal, finally meeting together in one large dessert reception.
April – Earth Day Neighborhood Clean Up
Help beautify Edgewood on Clean-Up Day by planting flowers and sprucing up our roadsides.
May - High School Senior Brunch & Newcomers' Reception
Every year we host a brunch to honor every High School Senior graduate in Edgewood. It's a time where we honor the young women and men who will be our community's newest "grads".
Every spring, the Foundation also hosts a Newcomers' Reception for our newest community members.
June - Brinton Road Clean Up
Brinton Road is one of the main gateways to our community. That's why each year we schedule a clean up day and invite volunteers to help us keep the neighborhood looking wonderful!
August - Edgewood Community Day
The Foundation participates in Edgewood Community Day, which is filled with all the good things of small town America. The grand finale is an outstanding fireworks display in Koenig Field.
September/October - Oktoberfest
Starting in 2011, we host an annual Oktoberfest in Koenig Field. This family-friendly event is filled with activities, food, and beverages for all ages.
November - A Wine & Chocolate Affair (every other year)
The Edgewood Wine & Chocolate Affair is an evening of decadent chocolate, wine tastings, silent auctions, and a reception to honor the recipient of the William D. Limpert Volunteer Service Award.
December - Light Up Edgewood
Typically held on the first Friday of December, Light Up Edgewood brings together the young and the young-at-heart for a seasonal sing-along, complete with refreshments, sparkling lights, and a visit from Santa Claus.
