In October 2025, the Edgewood Foundation erected a new sign at the off ramp from the outbound parkway as you approach the split to Greendale and Braddock Ave exits.
The old sign (pictured below) was originally funded and placed at that location in the early 1990’s by the Edgewood Foundation. As the past 30 years of weather have weakened the wood structure of the sign, the Edgewood Foundation, with the help from a donation by Lee and Robin Price, decided to design and erect a new welcome sign.
Our new sign was a collaboration between the Edgewood Foundation and Eisenwood Custom Wood and Design LLC. The materials and colors were chosen with longevity, welcoming and vibrancy in mind while keeping with a similar design as the Edgewood logo and previous sign.
In addition to the sign, solar lights were added to give life to the sign at night. The garden portion has been redesigned with perennial plants that will be added in the spring of 2026, established perennials and trees were divided, pruned and mulched in an effort to make this entrance to Edgewood a more beautiful and inviting space.
